This will be the first time I ever actually attempted a shell swap, but I think it'll be ok once I have a finished product.assuming I can learn how to solder. Should I be buying OEM? I assume by now, all OEM screens are long since stopped being manufactured, and thus would be very much used. Are there any common pitfalls people fall for? Is buying a $25 screen way better than a $5 screen? Or is it essentially the same? I have no idea what the metric is for what makes a good or a bad screen. I went on ebay, and found screens for as low as $5, and as high as $25. Something I need to buy, and also have never used before.īut that brings us to my biggest problem. Then I started researching how to replace the top screen. I already bought the shell, and the tools to replace the shell. It's kinda broken, and beat up, but I think with a shell replacement, and a top screen replacement it'll work just fine. So, I found a Nintendo DS lite the other day, and there's no real way to know who's it is, or where it came from. Want to offer your repair services? Message the mods!
